Dodo's a bird that did not fly.
Why it did not, I don't know why.

It was given wings to rise,
To fly high to the bright blue skies.

But, sigh, the Dodo would not fly,
How might one say they failed, succinct?

They preferred dirt to forage and pry,
Their bills drew wallowed ground, to die?

For the Dodo is extinct!

Predators came, they did not fly
from guns away, above and high.

Stayed way below the light of sun,
And what we know: then there were none.
