The concept of governmental 'Economy', probably began with the original definitions of the word in mind:Dictionary.com: e·con·o·my
Pronunciation [i-kon-uh-mee] noun, plural -mies, adjective, adverb
–noun 1. thrifty management; frugality in the expenditure or consumption of money, materials, etc.
3. the management of the resources of a community, country, etc., esp. with a view to its productivity.
4. the prosperity or earnings of a place: Further inflation would endanger the national economy seriously.
5. the disposition or regulation of the parts or functions of any whole; an organized system or method.
6. the efficient, sparing, or concise use of something: an economy of effort; an economy of movement.
Obama's alleged prowess on 'the economy' is a myth. His proposed 'change' is the same old tax and spend approach that Americans in the majority have grown to hate; not wanting to see big government swallow up their hard earned dollars towards expensive promises, usually unfulfilled.Additionally, according to his spending record in the Senate: Barack Obama's presently short tenure is almost $1 billion long on pork.
In his 3 years as senator, Barack Obama obtained over $860 million in earmarks-not including this year, in which he requested none while campaigning for president, but, 'You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.'
By extreme contrast, John McCain, in his very substantial senatorial career, has no earmarks in his senatorial record..
Moreover, Obama isn't benefiting from the publicized view that Americans say that in general they have more faith in the Democrats' ability to handle the economy than that of the Republicans.
That's a much more critical problem for Obama than McCain. Helping the struggling economy and benefiting middle-class voters is a central tenet of Obama's campaign; with no-contest on foreign policy.
'Economical' with your tax dollars, sound and secure, McCain's no 'pork' record, his wanting to keep taxes low and increase productivity, so that you keep your job and your hard earned cash to afford your chosen necessities; his proposals to increase the amount in tax breaks for children in families; and a large tax break to purchase the health care that you choose;... a bi-partisan leader that'll work for you and always put our country first....
