It's now easy to see why Joe Biden was the proud veep pick for the Obama camp- having decided way back when that the way to defeat McCain was to misrepresent everything about him and his record; in attack ads, in speeches, in interviews, on tv on the internet on the telephone, in debates,...In last night's debate, Sarah Palin's performance was stellar as she resisted the temptation to call Biden on his many untruths, responding with appropriate grimaces rather than to go on a fruitless fly hunt with the pro-prevaricator; insisting that she's going to discuss what she wants to discuss: like taxes, the economy, education, the Iraq war; all the things that everyday Americans are greatly concerned with.
In doing so, she established herself with Americans as a serious, straight talking, solution-oriented contender for the second highest office in the land; a Washington outsider echoing the call of Americans for reform; for government to work for them and not for special interests and personal gain.
Long on rhetoric and short on facts, Washington's long time Democrat Senator Joe Biden lied at least 14 times during the vice presidential debate according to those counting at John McCain’s presidential headquarters.
Tucker Bounds, a spokesman from GOP presidential candidate John McCain’s campaign said in a statement, “Joe Biden graduated from his trademark verbal gaffe to outright lie in tonight’s debate.”
